sketches

something from head to practice facial features.... fail fail fail is that an ear??

a sketch of Dany with her dragons on the balerion. got to plan more careful next time I do interior... or else I get annyoed like I did with this one...

something awfully naive and lazy...

I might work more on this one... but I did the pose from head and I have no idea whatsoever how to paint fat-covered muscles on the back, arms or calfs. Hands, too. Don't look at them T_T

The Brave

I like to call the early bloomers the Brave. Despite the cold they grow and bloom and promise spring.

Crocus

Hamamelis

Galanthus

Eranthis

Leucojum

Acer saccharinum - I'm always looking forward to the first tree blossoms. Couldn't find a low branch to make a macro shot. :-/

Scilla

And these are only buds, but they will flower soon enough.

Taxus

Chaenomeles

I took these photos yesterday and today. There are even more, like Erica carnea, Corylus or Viburnum × bodnantense. The next days are going to be cold, nights freezing, so spring won't come rapidly, but soon all the colours will be back, covering the greys and browns. And maybe I find more time to photograph this year.

Sit and beg

Arco is capable of sitting on his hind legs.
I argue it is because he is overweight and thus has a convenient balance point. Like a roly-poly tumbler.

Here is a photo of him: [link]
